WEGENER® introduces the iPump® 562 media server for multi-site enterprise video projects, such as digital signage, which may require a high level of customization per television set. Using WEGENER’s integrated approach to file-based workflows, MPEG-4 (h.264) video and DVB-S2 demodulation, the iPump 562 media server delivers superior bandwidth savings for new high definition video channels.
Additionally, enterprise networks can use file-based broadcasting features to regionalize or pre-position repetitive content to inject a higher level of personalization and/or targeted marketing promotion within any live video broadcasts.
COMPEL® network control system puts every WEGENER receiver under a central network operator’s control. It gives the operator the power to manage a mixed network of iPump 562 and other WEGENER IRDs through a common interface. Use COMPEL to optimize bandwidth utilization with scheduled commands that regionalize programming and commercials. Command individual or groups of receivers to configure video, audio, data outputs, or switch/tune to specific satellite transponders for field-proven disaster recovery and true hands-free downlink operations.
