MTI EXPANDS NETWORK WITH WEGENER DIGITAL AUDIO RECEIVERS

ORDER FROM MTI EXCEEDS $1MILLION

September 30, 1998 - Duluth, GA: Wegener Corporation (NASDAQ: WGNR), announced it has received an order in excess of $1 million for DR95 digital audio receivers from Music Technologies International (MTI). This equipment will be utilized nationwide in retail stores, with MTI providing foreground music service interspersed with powerful commercial insertion via Wegener's Addressable Network Control System.
