SCTE CABLE-TEC EXPO, Orlando, FL -- May 26, 1999 -- Wegener Corporation (NASDAQ: WGNR), today introduced COMPEL Web Access - Internet Connectivity for The Advanced Network Control System.

In its commitment to utilize the internet as a new tool, Wegener Communications is delivering COMPEL Web Access. COMPEL Web Access greatly simplifies the use of Network control functionality for media companies. COMPEL Control functions can be utilized via an Internet connection using a standard web browser. Users can create multiple virtual networks from one master COMPEL control system, enabling total control over a defined sub network, yet preserve a central network control authority.
