BUSINESS TELEVISION USERS ORDER MORE WEGENER UNITY PRODUCTS

April 25, 2002 - Duluth, GA: WEGENER Corporation (NASDAQ:WGNR), announced it has received orders exceeding $500,000 for transmit and receive equipment used in business television and private network applications. These orders, received in the last two weeks, include volume shipments of UNITY500 digital video receivers and Harmonic digital video encoders used in remote controlled satellite uplinks.
