WEGENER RECEIVES ORDER FROM ROBERTS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK AND OTHERS FOR NETWORK EXPANSION

( May 20, 2004 ) - DULUTH, Georgia – WEGENER Corporation (Nasdaq: WGNR ), a leading provider of satellite transmission solutions for broadcast and cable television networks worldwide, today announced a recent order from Roberts Communications Network for equipment to expand their network infrastructure, including an upgrade to the WEGENER Compel Network Control System. In addition to the Roberts Communications Network order, WEGENER has recently received orders from two other customers to expand their networks - a private video distribution network and another racing network. WEGENER supplies a number of products to private and business networks to help them regionalize their content distribution through Compel Control.
