WEGENER RECEIVES 9.6 MILLION DOLLAR ORDER FOR DIGITAL AUDIO

(December 2, 2004) - DULUTH, Georgia – WEGENER® Corporation (Nasdaq: WGNR), a leading provider of television, audio and data distribution network solutions worldwide, today announced a 9.6 million dollar order for digital audio equipment. The order was received in WEGENER’s first fiscal quarter of 2005. It extends and amends an existing multi-year contract into fiscal year 2009.

COMPEL and MEDIAPLAN are used to control large networks in the business music industry. This order for WEGENER UNITY satellite receivers, plus WEGENER’s Play And Store (PAS) audio storage cards will continue to grow these networks, with locations at leading retail locations across North America. WEGENER’s technology enables the client to transmit digital content such as advertisements, store the content locally, and replay the advertisements at user scheduled times.
