WEGENER RECEIVES $1,000,000+ ORDER FOR iPUMP SOLUTION FROM ASCENT MEDIA SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (March 23, 2005) - DULUTH, Georgia – Wegener Corporation (Nasdaq: WGNR), a leading provider of television, audio and data distribution networks worldwide, today announced an order valued at well over $1 million from Ascent Media Systems and Technology Services for the WEGENER iPump® Solution. The iPump Solution includes WEGENER’s: iPump Media Servers, MediaPlan® Asset Management System, Compel® Control and Encryption System, and Unity® Satellite Receivers. The contract provides equipment to convert a television distribution network from analog to digital and upgrade the network’s capabilities with the store & forward technology of the iPump Media Servers.
