tools in the hands of the network operator. Wegener began supplying media distribution products to the radio industry in the early 1980s.
Today Wegener technology distributes content to thousands of radio stations across both satellite and IP networks. Network operators download programming commercials and interstitials to the station and mix real time and file-based content to create seamless localized programming.

On Air Signal Verification (OASV)
Using on-board AM/FM tuners to sample locally-aired signals, the Professional Media Servers compare live or file-based audio playout without the use of watermarking techniques. This highly accurate proprietary technology provides confirmation of audio playout and is included in the as-run reports used to create affidavits.
OASV is a factory option that must be specified at the time the order is placed. The OASV option is available on the AudioCaster Pro
Westwood One
Radio's largest, full-service, independent radio network, provides national advertising sales representation to over two hundred radio programs and networks in addition to their own programming and services. The network produces and syndicates approximately 100 music programs in a variety of formats to more than three thousand radio stations nationwide using Wegener distribution technology.
From 2005 Westwood One has relied on Wegener’s store forward radio products and continues today with an on-going upgrade to Wegener’s newest radio family of products. Wegener’s COMPEL Network Management System and iPump 8640 Professional Audio Server combine to provide highly localized programming to their affiliates.
